I have always been interested in nutrition and healthy eating, growing up in a home with a mother who always offered healthy and nutritious food choices. By my high school years, I was very interested in science, biology, physiology, and anatomy. I finished my schooling with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
After working for over ten years in the nutrition department within different hospitals and homecare facilities, my passion turned toward holistic and sustainable living. I attended the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, and then became a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. I have a certificate in Therapeutic Nutrition & Supplement in Practice, along with a certificate in Herbal Pharmacology & Plant-Based Medicine Making.
Holistic means treating the body as a whole and getting to the root cause of a health issue, not just creating a Band-Aid solution by simply treating the symptoms. As a holistic nutritionist I believe we are all unique. There isn’t just one uniform diet or lifestyle routine that works for everyone. This is why I love to meet with my clients in order to create a holistic nutritional package that best suits their unique needs. True health can only be obtained by an optimal state of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
